Kalen & Matt - Downtown & May Lew Farm Engagement Session - Farmville, NC Photographer

What a yucky, gloomy day we’ve had today! I’m such a summer girl, and today’s weather is the epitome of why I sometimes dread autumn’s arrival. Luckily, most fall days aren’t this dreary. Tonight’s blog post features a sweet couple, Kalen and Matt, who scheduled their session for September 29th thinking they may hit the weather jackpot for fall weather. Well, to be honest. It was anything but the weather jackpot. Yes, these photos feature smiling faces and beautiful fall light. And I love that the grass is still green but there are hints of fall colors in the trees. But, here’s the story behind the photos… It was 90+ degrees and every gnat in Farmville showed up for their session. But you can’t even see that can you? Ya’ll, Kalen and Matt were such troopers! And I do mean troopers! They kept a smile on their faces and even though there was lots of swatting at gnats and sweating in fall clothes, not once did they ever complain. It’s not often that we know without a doubt that our couples are going to be easy to get along with on the wedding day. But let me just tell you, if these two could handle the frustration that is literally thousands of gnats swarming, we know they will handle anything that may come their way next September as they say I Do. Ya’ll, we have already loved getting to know Kalen and Matt and can’t wait to capture their wedding day. We hope you will enjoy these shots from their engagement session!
